On Dec. 25, 1987, Ted Nugent paid a neighborly visit to David Letterman’s ‘Old Fashioned Christmas’ special. As you can see above, the spirit of the season apparently overcame them both, as they wound up singing ‘The Christmas Song’ together.
We’re not sure what’s more surprising; the notion that Nugent and Letterman lived right down the street for each other, or the fact that Letterman’s an absolutely amazing singer as well as a deft piano player. Seriously, why even keep Paul Shaffer around? Just build a keyboard right into the host desk, like Chevy Chase did on his ill-fated talk show.
