The Hood Internet are a combo known for their mash-ups of indie-rock and hip-hop. The results are quite often amusing to say the least. In a recent outing for the AV Club, the band decided a more straightforward approach was called for as they deliver a cover of the Pretenders' classic, 'Back On The Chain Gang.'
By the time Chrissie Hynde and her Pretenders released their seminal hit (and amazingly obvious Top 100 Classic Rock Songs inductee) 'Brass In Pocket,' the band was already on its third lineup... and that's before they had any chart success. Their third single, 'Brass' was their first U.K. No. 1 and reached No. 14 on the Billboard charts.
