The Aug. 1969 release of Ten Years After's breakthrough album coincided with their standout performance at Woodstock.
Ten Years After
If it's live performances from British classic rockers you're in the mood for, Rhino's got you covered this fall.
Legendary British guitarist and singer Alvin Lee unexpectedly passed away early Wednesday (March 6) after complications following a routine surgical procedure. Now the rocker's former band mates in Ten Years After have issued a statement, lauding the virtuoso musician as "one of guitar's greatest talents."
From simple raw and direct blues to haunting psychedelic drenched sounds, the best Ten Years After songs prove they are certainly one of rock and roll's most criminally forgotten bands. Formed in 1966, and led by guitarist Alvin Lee (R.I.P.), the band finally got people to take notice after their incendiary performance at the original Woodstock festival.
