Ted Nugent

Detroit-born Ted Nugent got his start fronting the Amboy Dukes, a garage-rock, 'Nuggets'-worthy band in the late '60s. By the mid-'70s his solo career took off with albums like 'Free-for-All' and 'Cat Scratch Fever.' Even though he's kept busy with music over the past few decades -- releasing albums under his own name as well as part of the Damn Yankees supergroup -- Nugent has become just as well known for his love of hunting and support of the National Rifle Association (both were on grand display in his reality TV show 'Surviving Nugent'). His outspoken stance on various political issues has gotten him into trouble more than once for his often-extreme right-wing position on matters.
