Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx took socialite and all-around media . . . uh, "personality" Kim Kardashian to task on Monday (May 20), after the bad-reality-TV-star-turned-product pitch woman posted to Twitter to promote her new bronzer line during the horrific tornado that touched down in Moore, Okla. and struck an elementary school, reportedly leaving at least 51 people dead in its wake.
Motley Crue co-founder and bassist Nikki Sixx is also an acclaimed and successful photographer, and several shots taken during a trip through Canada are featured on the Leica Camera Blog. The images focus on the troubled and addicted men and women who often hide in the shadows of big city buildings and overpasses.
The guys from Motley Crue have spent the last couple of years hinting that retirement is on the horizon, and bass guitarist Nikki Sixx recently went so far as to say the band would be hanging it up after one more album and tour. But you know how long rock retirements tend to last -- and it looks like Sixx might be leaving himself some room for renegotiation.
Earlier this year, Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue unveiled a signature model bass guitar. To celebrate, we've teamed up with Schechter Guitars, Eleven Seven Music and our sister site Loudwire to give one lucky fan a Schechter Sixx bass valued at $1,399, a copy of his best-selling book 'This Is Gonna Hurt' and the Sixx: A.M. CD of the same name.
