Along with an impressive all-star cast that included Rosanne Cash, Donald Fagen, Warren Haynes, Eric Burdon, Marianne Faithfull, Taj Mahal, and many more, Helm contributed to 'Toast to Freedom,' a new single recorded in honor of Amnesty International's 50th anniversary.
A week after his death, family, friends and fans of the late Levon Helm packed into his Woodstock, N.Y. barn/studio/performance space to pay their final respects to the singer and drummer of the Band. Helm passed away on April 19 after a long battle with throat cancer.
In the last decade of his life, Levon Helm opened up his home in Woodstock, N.Y. for his Midnight Ramble concerts. Therefore, it's fitting that it will be the site of a memorial for him. Rolling Stone is reporting that the service will take place on April 26 from 10AM to 3PM. Helm passed away on April 19 at the age of 71 after a lengthy bout with throat cancer. Friends and fans are invited to attend.

Although it is reported that they have endured a somewhat tumultuous relationship since the demise of the Band in 1976, it appears as though drummer Levon Helm and guitarist Robbie Robertson have mended some fences.
