We were lucky enough to have Allman Brothers Band, Gov't Mule and solo star Warren Haynes visit our new studios recently. In this exclusive interview, the guitarist talks about Gov't Mule's new star-studded album 'Shout!' and explains why we might finally be closer to getting the first new Allman Brothers record in more than 10 years.

For their upcoming album, 'Shout!,' Gov't Mule will offer fans a two-CD experience with the second disc filled with guest collaborations. Steve Winwood, Dr. John, Elvis Costello and others will appear on re-recorded versions of songs found on the first disc.

To nobody's surprise, when we recently caught up with Allman Brothers Band, Gov't Mule and solo star Warren Haynes, he was keeping quite busy. In fact, while he was talking to us about his plans for the 2013 Mountain Jam festival, he was also wrapping up the mixes on a new album, and planning to depart the very next morning for the band's fourth annual Jamaica Island Exodus getaway.

He found early fame with the Allman Brothers, but his impact has gone well beyond that legendary band.

Legendary Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh and Gov't Mule will highlight the lineup of the ninth annual Mountain Jam Festival, which takes place over four days starting June 6 in Hunter Mountain, N.Y. Primus, Widespread Panic and the Avett Brothers are among many other bands announced for the show, with more additions expected to follow soon.
