Elton John and Chris Cornell both were announced as nominees for the 69th annual Golden Globe Awards in January. In fact, both were nominated for awards in the same category: Best Original Song in a Motion Picture.
Soundgarden lead singer Chris Cornell says the band's first album in 16 years will stay true to the sound the band had crafted in the 13 years previous to 'Down on the Upside.' The untitled effort is expected to be available in 2012.
