Stream the New Albums From Roger Waters and Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie

Two of June’s most highly anticipated rock records are ready for your listening enjoyment — and right from the comfort of your browser too.

Roger Waters‘ first new solo album in 25 years, Is This the Life We Really Want?, is in stores today, but thanks to the magic of streaming, you can check it out without holding a physical copy — and if you’re a fan of the Pink Floyd co-founder’s work, you’ll want to listen sooner than later. As outlined in our review of the LP, Waters’ latest work honors the same commitment to sociopolitical rock he’s demonstrated for decades, and while it’s arguably one of his darker outings, it’s also an invigoratingly outraged take on current affairs — whether or not you share his outspoken politics. You can stream Life via the Spotify embed below.

Meanwhile, Fleetwood Mac fans will have to wait until next week to hold the new album from Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie, but they can listen to it right now. NPR’s First Listen program is offering an exclusive stream of the LP, which finds the longtime bandmates working as a duo with musical backing from Mac bassist John McVie and drummer Mick Fleetwood.

Preceded by the singles “In My World” and “Feel About You,” Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie might be the closest we get to a new album by the most commercially successful Mac lineup — to hear the group performing with singer Stevie Nicks this year, you’ll have to catch them at the Classic East and Classic West festivals.
