Watch the Stray Cats Play ‘Rock This Town’ at Rockpalast: Video Premiere

The Stray Cats were in top form in the early '80s, tearing through hits like "Rock This Town" during an appearance at Rockpalast. We present an exclusive video premiere of the clip, which you can watch above.

The performance is part of the upcoming Live at Rockpalast, which is due on July 7 in DVD and DVD/CD formats. Other featured songs include "Stray Cat Strut," "Runaway Boys" and "Rumble in Brighton." You can see the full track listing below.

The footage is drawn from two performances by Brian Setzer, Slim Jim Phantom and Lee Rocker in Germany -- the first one in 1981 at Cologne Satory Halls, followed by a 1983 set at the Loreley. Recorded by WDR, the performances feature the Stray Cats still on the rise and still a little rough around the edges. By 1983, as Live at Rockpalast underscores, the Stray Cats were huge stars, appearing on a bill with acts like U2, Joe Cocker and Steve Miller.
