As we reported yesterday, Sting and Paul Simon will embark on a co-headlining North American tour in 2014. Today, the two groundbreaking musicians announced the dates for the On Stage Together tour.

According to the AV Club, the tour will begin on Feb. 8 at the Toyota Center in Houston. Over the course of the next five weeks, they will play 18 shows in arenas across the continent before finishing up on March 16 at the Amway Center in Orlando. The full schedule is listed below.

Given the differences in age and musical upbringing, it may seem like this tour is not as natural as, say, the Elton John / Billy Joel tours that have occasionally taken place since 1994. But the two singer-songwriters share a willingness to expand their musical horizons and a meticulous attention to craft.

The origins for the tour occurred back in May, when the two performed together on ‘Fields of Gold’ and ‘The Boxer’ during a benefit for the Robin Hood Foundation. “After we finished it,” Simon said. “We both looked at each other and said, ‘Wow. That’s pretty interesting.’”
