Steven Tyler to Appear on Oprah Winfrey’s New Show

Oprah Winfrey and Steven Tyler? What a pair. The former queen of daytime talk TV will launch her new show 'Oprah's Next Chapter' with Aerosmith's Steven Tyler as her inaugural guest. The two-hour episode is set to air on Jan. 1 on the star's OWN Network.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, 'Oprah's Next Chapter' will air at 9 PM on New Year's night. Winfrey will cover plenty of interesting territory with Tyler, ranging from his notorious drug addiction to his romantic relationships to his newfound mainstream persona and success on 'American Idol,' where he serves as a judge. There is clearly no shortage of topics for the two to go over when they have their sit down. Grab some popcorn and plop on the couch on Jan. 1, because this is going to be a good one.

We couldn't think of a better guest for Winfrey to launch a new show and the new year with, given Tyler's quippy nature and the fact that he doesn't seem afraid to hold anything back. Subsequent episodes will air each week and will find Winfrey outside of the sterile, studio setting and enjoying conversational interviews with stars, celebs and families out in the real world.
