FoxSteven Tyler's ugly performance of 'The Star-Spangled Banner' before today's (Jan. 22) Ravens-Patriots game sure set Twitter afire. Within moments of the Aerosmith singer letting out those last few strained notes from his pipes, dozens and dozens of clever tweets were being sent out in a mad dash to diss his version of the song. Here are just a few of the more colorful tweets we came across:
Faux John Madden (@FauxJohnMadden): BREAKING - Steven Tyler just informed that he will not be advancing to the second round of American Idol.
Not Bill Walton (@NotBillWalton): Steven Tyler performed an AWFUL rendition of the National Anthem. America hasn't been this disgraced since the Kardashians hit the airwaves.
Jason (@JasonLight73): Steven Tyler looks like an amalgamation of equal parts Sarah Jessica Parker, Keith Richards, Iggy Pop and a dash of Joan Rivers for his age!
Cindy Boren (@CindyBoren): Extremely disappointed that Steven Tyler didn't call an audible and go with "Dude Looks like a Brady."
Dan McLaughlin (@baseballcrank): RIP our National Anthem. Steven Tyler held for questioning in its death.
Happy Gilmore (@_Happy_Gilmore): I wish I could have dropped an air conditioner on Steven Tyler while he was singing that abomination of the national anthem.
Sean Callahan (@Sean_Callahan): Steven Tyler sounds like he had a rough night
DJ Shoemate (@DJSHOES24): Steven Tyler... Give it up bro
