Don't set a table place for Slash at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony just yet, despite a recent statement from Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Foundation President and CEO Joel Peresman that Guns N' Roses "all have RSVP'd that they will show" for the big ceremony in April.

Peresman revealed this "news" during an interview on Sirius/XM with That Metal Show's Eddie Trunk, but apparently nobody checked with Slash, who tweeted: "For the record, I didn't RSVP, or in any way commit to attending the RRHF. I don't appreciate people putting words in my mouth."

In his recent column on SeattleWeekly.com, former Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagen seems to be mostly happy for the fans in regards to the nomination: "It became very apparent to me that fans of GN'R felt very motivated for our band to 'get into the Hall.' All of those fans ARE very important to me, and thus getting this Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame nod was a victory for them. And so I am deeply honored and feel very good about this whole deal."

But at the same time, he seemed less than optimistic concerning odds that the reunion would happen: "I can't picture it." He went on to say, "Your guess is as good as mine. I am a grown-up now, and hope that we can achieve some grace and class when that ceremony comes. But in the end, I am only responsible for myself."

So, it appears to be typical drama, at least as far as the history of Guns N' Roses goes. Will they or won't they? Only their hairdressers know for sure!
