In the ever-revolving, never-evolving drama that is Guns N' Roses and the will they / won't they reunite drama surrounding their upcoming induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the "all you need is hate" motif seems to still apply.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Slash seemed a bit more than irritated when it came to the relentless questions about the band's upcoming induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame: "This is a subject I'm dead sick of talking about!"

Though Guns fans, as well as curiosity seekers, are hoping all fences will be temporarily mended so the original band will reunite for the ceremony, Slash has a different take on things. "Everyone has been asking me what's going to happen, and they know as much as I do. I feel you're totally obligated to be present and I would love to fucking play, but it's just something that's not gonna happen for whatever reason."

That 'reason' may be spelled W. Axl Rose. "He hates my guts," Slash continued. "It's over a lot of different stuff; I don't even know. There's just no communication between us." Though drummer Steven Adler and bassist Duff McKagen, along with Slash, have all said they will be there will bells on for the induction, it is still up in the air as to the plans of both guitarist Izzy Stradlin and the often elusive Rose. "I talk to Duff and Steven," continued Slash, "but when it comes to old Guns N' Roses, there really isn't anybody that makes decisions."

Though Adler apologized for his recent comments calling Rose's current version of GNR "a band of hacks," tension remains high within the world of all things Guns N' Roses. The induction ceremony is creeping closer, and within two weeks the story will have been told, when it becomes either a big wow, or a big nothing. As we ask that musical question, Bill Bailey won't you please come home.
