Slash reportedly filed divorce papers on Tuesday in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences with wife Perla Hudson. They’ve been married since October 2001, and have two boys.

TMZ reports their separation date as June 15, citing court papers. Slash — whose real name is Saul Hudson — is apparently requesting joint custody of London, 12; and Cash, 10. The Daily Mail reports that Perla, 39, flew to Hawaii with their sons over the weekend.

Slash, 49, earlier filed divorce papers back in 2010, but withdrew his petition two months later when he worked things out. The guitar hero had previously thanked Perla — whom he met backstage at a Guns N’ Roses concert — for helping him get his life straightened out.

He told the Telegraph that he quit alcohol, drugs and smoking because “the missus was bugging me about it,” crediting her with encouraging him to get “rid of all the real hardcore stuff that I used to live on.” In 2011, they renewed their vows.
