A Sex Pistols 'Never Mind The Bollocks' press package recently sold during an eBay auction, fetching $1,442.00. This 1977 package was a punk rock treasure, as all the items appeared to be unplayed, unmarked and unworn.

'Never Mind The Bollocks' is the only studio album recorded by the Sex Pistols, so this ultra-rare promo package carried it's weight in collector appeal. It's considered a highly influential record in classic rock history, earning the crown of its own genre called punk rock.

The kit consisted of a wealth of items: the near-mint 'Never Mind the Bollocks' promo album with original sleeve and sticker, an original press clipping portfolio that included 10 original black-and-white photos, an original promo poster, and the rare promo T-shirt.

A few of the photos were noted as having minor discoloration, but other than that this gem appeared without flaw. The seller mentioned that the shirt was a "very small" size, which apparently is typical of vintage apparel.

Historically, punk rock rose from the ashes of a lower-class group of individuals who seemingly had "no future" and little hope to improve their income and lifestyle. This recent eBay sale spits all over that notion with its hefty price tag. "Never Mind The Bollocks?" -- rather, never mind the price!
