German hard rock legends the Scorpions have announced their North American summer tour -- and we have the dates.

As you'll recall, the band previously said their 2010 'Get Your Sting And Blackout' road trip was to be their last, but these new shows are apparently still part of that ongoing tour, which is scheduled to run though the early part of 2013. The final segment will also include several high profile gigs overseas, including a stop at the legendary Wacken Open Air metal festival in Germany.

To coincide with the shows, the Scorps have released a new album titled 'Comeblack,' a collection of some of the boys' favorite works by other artists. The 13 songs include tracks by the Kinks, T.Rex, the Beatles,  the Rolling Stones, the Small Faces and even a take on the old Gloria Jones northern soul stomper 'Tainted Love,' later made famous by synthpop duo Soft Cell.

The Scorpions' roots can be traced back more than five decades -- so even if this tour ends up being their finale, it's been quite a ride.
