Following the success of his 2011 autobiography, Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock, Sammy Hagar is about to publish another book. Are We Having Any Fun Yet?: The Cooking & Partying Handbook will be released on Sept. 15.

The rocker/restauranteur/liquor magnate may believe that there’s only one way to rock, but he clearly thinks differently about cooking. Are We Having Any Fun Yet? contains more than 50 food and drink recipes that he’s learned from his home, the road and his time spent in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and Maui, Hawaii. But it’s more than a typical cookbook. As the section for the book on Hagar’s website states, he also shares “the stories behind his unique, self-made culinary journey,” gets contributions from celebrity chefs and offers some tips for throwing the perfect party.

“The only thing I’m allergic to is bad music and bad food,” Tommy Lee wrote in a blurb. “So what I’m telling you is that Sammy’s cookbook is just what Dr. Feelgood ordered!! This book you’re holding has all the recipes for good food, good music, and one hell of a party!!”

Another friend, famed chef Mario Batali, speaks from his own professional knowledge in praising Hagar's skills. "His expertise and savvy on stage are things that millions of people have enjoyed," he writes," but seats at his dinner parties are a little more exclusive and this book gives his fans of rock and roll, hoochie coo and tasty comestibles a view into the fantastic and rarified world of Sammy Hagar, chef and home entertainer.”

Are We Having Any Fun Yet?: The Cooking & Partying Handbook is available for pre-order from Amazon.
