The 13th of October marks a special day for another Van Halen frontman -- 'The Red Rocker' Sammy Hagar, who will turn 65 this year.

Hagar made his debut in the influential group Montrose before embarking on a successful solo career.

Fans were divided when it was announced the singer would begin fronting Van Halen after David Lee Roth's departure. However, on his watch the band produced four multi-platinum, No. 1 charting albums.

Today, Hagar is part of rock supergroup Chickenfoot, which features guitarist Joe Satriani, drummer Chad Smith and bassist Michael Anthony.

Keep a look out for another Chickenfoot member farther down on our list!
