During his concert at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday (March 29), Paul McCartney got by with a little help from his friends (officially the 1,587,204th time someone has referenced that song in an article about a guest appearance at a concert by a Beatle). Ronnie Wood, Roger Daltrey and Paul Weller sat in with McCartney’s band for a performance of the Beatles 1969 hit,’Get Back.’

McCartney had played a typical set at the legendary venue which, as every Beatles fan knows, seats approximately 4,000 people. Following such classics as ‘Maybe I’m Amazed,’ ‘Let It Be’ and ‘Blackbird,’ During the encore, McCartney called out his buddies to a rapturous ovation.

Daltrey contributes some harmony vocals while Weller, whose new album ‘Sonik Kicks’ debuted at No. 1 on the British album charts, plays rhythm guitar. Wood gets a solo and does some call-and-response with McCartney during the breakdown.

The concert was part of a week-long series of benefits for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Daltrey and Weller performed the previous night (March 28), with Woodie and Steve Winwood sitting in as well. Britpop legends Pulp will play tonight (March 31) and Florence + the Machine will close out the series on April 3.
