Without saying a single word, the Rolling Stones have potentially confirmed their participation in the massive fall music festival that's being referred to as a "classic rock Coachella."

Following a similar status update from Paul McCartney, the band took to its social media outlets today to tease what appears to be a major upcoming announcement. As with McCartney's post, the Stones' update consists of a 30-second song snippet — in this case the Exile on Main St. track "All Down the Line" — and one word: "October."

Although nothing's been explicitly confirmed, the Stones' post comes after a slew of rumors regarding an upcoming festival boasting a lineup stacked with classic rock vets — and arrives on the heels of similar updates from the Who, Bob Dylan and Roger Waters. Neil Young is also reportedly part of the roster for the event, which is said to be the latest splashy effort from the promoters behind the Coachella Festival.

The October announcement comes amid a flurry of Stones-related activity, including the deluxe reissue of the band's Stripped live album and a museum installation, Exhibitionism, collecting decades of memorabilia. They also recently wrapped a Latin American tour that included the group's first-ever performance in Cuba.

Whatever happens with the festival, it seems at least somewhat likely that any fall activity will do double duty as promotion for the Stones' upcoming album, which has been described as a blues-based effort and is reportedly scheduled to arrive in stores before the end of the year.
