Former Dr. Feelgood guitarist Wilko Johnson says his forthcoming collaboration with Roger Daltrey has a "heavy power-trio sound backing up a singer. It’s a British institution. No one does that better than us."

'Going Back Home,' which was recorded during sessions in November and is now set for release on March 10, will feature several remakes of Johnson originals, as well as a cover of Bob Dylan's 'Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window.'

"Roger jumped up and said, 'Let’s do it,'" Johnson told The Guardian. "He knew this lovely little studio called Yellow Fish in Uckfield. Unfortunate name for a place, but a great studio."

Johnson, who played with Dr. Feelgood during their most commercially successful period between 1971-77, later joined Ian Dury & the Blockheads before releasing a series of albums with the Wilko Johnson Band. Recently, he acted in the hit cable TV show 'Game of Thrones.'

Daltrey and Johnson are set to perform together on Feb. 25 at Shepherds Bush Empire in London. The musicians became friends in 2010, not long before Johnson -- who was an integral part of Dr. Feelgood's 1976 album from 'Stupidity,' which reached No. 1 in the U.K. -- was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
