Rod Stewart is obviously one of the greatest blues-tinged rock singers of all time. But despite his undeniable talent as both a singer and a songwriter, Stewart's music has often been overshadowed by his playboy image.

His multiple marriages and long parade of public sexual conquests -- encompassing actresses, models, and random women who wandered across his path -- tended to feed that perception, and his unfortunate foray into leopard-skin-clad disco stardom with 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy' probably didn't help things much, either. But Stewart eventually came to his senses and has since delivered a long string of more restrained classics.
