Rock’s Nastiest Feuds

Rock stars are a lot like people in the real world. Sometimes tempers flare, and before you know it, fists are flying, hair's being pulled and somebody's calling someone else a bitch.

In the latest video in our You Think You Know Classic Rock? series, we take a look at Rock's Nastiest Feuds. We stayed away from in-band fighting, like John Fogerty's decades-long battle against the rest of Creedence Clearwater Revival and various Rolling Stones throwing mean words at each other.

Instead, the above video focuses on musicians from one band taking on musicians in another band. Like Motley Crue's Vince Neil punching Guns N' Roses' Izzy Stradlin. Or Stradlin's GNR bandmate Axl Rose challenging Nirvana's Kurt Cobain to a fight. Or Neil's Crue comrade Tommy Lee scuffling with Kid Rock. Remarkably, all these incidents have taken place at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Also making appearances in the video are other members of Motley Crue, Elton John and even Paul McCartney, whose beef with Michael Jackson involved the song rights to McCartney's old Beatles songs.
