Robert Plant has been making the promotional rounds lately for his new album, 'lullaby ... and the Ceaseless Roar.' Last night, he stopped by 'The Colbert Report' to talk about the record and to play a couple songs from it.

Things started off kinda awkwardly, as you can see in the above video, when Plant's microphone fell off and host Stephen Colbert had to reattach it. "I never thought I’d say I started an interview by saying, ‘I just touched Robert Plant’s butt,'” Colbert said.

During the six-minute interview, Plant talked about getting lost on tour, eating fiber-filled cereal to keep him regular, ancient poetry and  'lullaby ... and the Ceaseless Roar'''s title and themes. He also answered the question: "Is there a casual Robert Plant in sweatpants and flip-flops walking his dog, maybe with a handful of poop in a plastic bag?"

Plant also gave Colbert a joint midway through the chat. "Let’s find out what this is later," Colbert said. The former Led Zeppelin singer performed two songs from the new album, 'Rainbow' and 'Little Maggie,' during his visit. You can watch both of those below.
