Everyone has heard of Frosty the Snowman, but it's only just now we're learning about the story of his "idiot cousin," Frontsty — and it's all thanks to Rob Halford.

The Judas Priest frontman was a special guest on a recent episode of the podcast To the Manor Borne, during which he served as part of the voice cast for a look at the life and times of Frontsty the Snowman.

"It’s the night before Christmas at the Manor, but the Beast is not asleep," reads the description. "Bob makes plans with Tevis. The stand-alone story is Fronsty the Snowman, a tale of Frosty The Snowman’s idiot cousin who can’t do anything right, and how he redeems himself with Santa Claus."

You can check it all out on the podcast, assuming you've got about an hour of listening time to set aside and don't mind feeling largely out of the loop during the first 5-10 minutes or so, and it's well worth playing for the Priest fan with a hankering to hear Halford in a new and altogether different setting.

It could be just the opening salvo in a series of outside projects from Halford, who's entertained the idea of releasing a long-unpublished novel in recent months, and might even get around to fulfilling his dream of recording a blues album. And with all that going on, Halford is still staying busy with Judas Priest: The band has announced plans to start work on its next studio LP in 2016.
