Red Hot Chili Peppers Close Out Rainy Day Two of Lollapalooza 2012

It was a long day for Lollapalooza festivalgoers Saturday (Aug. 4) after being evacuated due to major thunderstorms, but once they were allowed to return for the rest of the day of music performances they were rewarded with a late night Red Hot Chili Peppers headlining set.

The band appeared no worse for wear as they took the stage with the boundless energy that fans have become accustomed to. Their evening began with a rousing rendition of 'Monarchy of Roses,' the second single from their 'I'm With You' album. That was followed by 'Around the World,' and pro-shot footage of the song has found its way online (and thus can be seen below).

The freshly-minted Rock and Roll Hall of Famers worked in a number of hits during their 16-song set, including 'Otherside,' 'Can't Stop,' 'The Adventures of Raindance Maggie,' 'Under the Bridge' (video seen below), 'Californication,' 'By the Way,' and the set closer, 'Give It Away.'

All in all, it was a fun way to wrap up a trying day and left concertgoers on a high note with one day of performances remaining for Lollapalooza 2012.
