Thirty-one bids pushed the price for a rare original 1975 Greek copy of Bruce Springsteen's 'Born to Run' single past $3,800 on eBay recently.

This vintage single, originally distributed by Music Box in Athens, eventually sold for an amazing $3,801. The seller, who goes by the username of "Mr. Vinylios," has a number of other intriguing old rock artifacts listed on eBay, but none has attracted the big-spender bids than this old 45 did. 'Meeting Across the River,' the seventh cut from the original 'Born to Run' album, was the b-side.

'Born to Run' is noted, of course, for hurtled Springsteen to stardom in the mid-1970s, and also for having been recorded with drummer Ernest "Boom" Carter and keyboardist David Sancious -- both of whom were later replaced by Max Weinberg and Roy Bittan, respectively, as the E Street Band took shape. The song was ranked No. 16 in the Ultimate Classic Rock list of Top 100 Classic Rock Songs.

After having toured Australia and Scandinavia in the past two months, Springsteen is set to play 17 dates this summer in stadiums across Europe, beginning May 26 in Munich.
