R.E.M. Break Up, Comedians React on Twitter

As we reported yesterday, R.E.M. has surprisingly and suddenly broken up after an impressive and influential 31 year career. It seems many of today's most popular comedians were strongly affected or inspired by this announcement. Many of them have taken to twitter since then to crack jokes, talk seriously about the first time they saw the band, or in the case of the always prolific Patton Oswalt, do both, plus ponder future careers for the various band members in a clever multi-tweet series.
