Queen are back in the saddle. The band, which first dealt with the loss of Freddie Mercury first by teaming with Paul Rodgers, returned to the stage Saturday (June 30) in Kiev as part of the ANTIAIDS benefit with Adam Lambert in the fold.

Ever since Lambert's 'American Idol' breakout, there's been the question of whether or not he'd entertain playing with Queen and, at least for now, he's enjoying the opportunity.

Saturday's set opened with the intro to 'Flash Gordon,' followed by the deeper cut 'Seven Seas of Rhye,' before transitioning into such classics as 'Keep Yourself Alive,' 'We Will Rock You,' and 'Fat Bottomed Girls.'

Drummer Roger Taylor stepped up to the microphone to join Lambert on the Queen/David Bowie favorite, 'Under Pressure,' and he later offered lead vocals on 'A Kind of Magic' and 'These Are the Days of Our Lives.' Guitarist Brian May was also up to the vocal challenge, adding his pipes to the songs 'Love of My Life' and '39.'
