Queen's BBC sessions have been pulled from the vaults and remastered for a new box scheduled for release later this year.

Titled Queen on Air: The Complete BBC Sessions and due to arrive in stores Nov. 4, the set will be available in a variety of configurations: a double-disc CD edition, triple-disc vinyl, digital and a deluxe six-disc package adding highlights from live concert broadcasts and 220 minutes of interviews with band members.

Promising "a glorious snapshot of the growth of a legend," Queen on Air follows the band from its first BBC session in February 1973 through their sixth recording for the network in October 1977. The end result, spanning 24 tracks in all, includes what the press release describes as "alternate versions of the debut single, unique takes of classic album tracks, and even a radically reworked re-imagining of one of their best-known anthems that has never previously appeared on any Queen studio release."
