Peter Gabriel fans can look forward to a new live DVD, among many other goodies, from the veteran singer, which is scheduled to be released by Eagle Rock Entertainment on Oct. 25.

Gabriel released 'Scratch My Back,' an album of covers by artists ranging from David Bowie to the Arcade Fire in 2010. It was the first part of a concept in which Gabriel would cover songs from his favorite artists, with selected artists recording their versions of Gabriel's material in return.

By the time he hit the road to promote the project, he had rehearsed a diverse orchestral setlist of material from the new album, paired with newly rearranged versions of classic songs from his own catalog.

'New Blood – Live In London In 3 Dimensions' captures Gabriel performing at the Hammersmith Apollo this past March with a 46-piece orchestra, and features many of his timeless favorites, including 'Red Rain,' 'In Your Eyes,' 'Digging In The Dirt' and 'Solsbury Hill.'

The concert film was captured in 3-D and will screen in select cinemas in September. It will then be released on Oct. 25 in several different formats: DVD, Blu-ray and 3-D Blu-ray. The DVD and Blu-ray versions feature an interview with Gabriel and a documentary piece that illustrates the creative process behind the project.

Additionally, it will serve as the visual companion piece to the pending Oct. 11 release of the upcoming album 'New Blood,' which contains studio versions of the Gabriel rearrangements as featured in the live show.

A deluxe edition will be released as a 60-page hardback photo book containing both the live DVD and Blu-ray, the 'New Blood' studio album and an exclusive CD of live tracks from the show.

Long known as an innovative force in the fields of video and technology, Gabriel's classic 'Shock The Monkey' video was recently named as one of the Top 100 Greatest Music Videos Of All Time by NME.
