Peter Frampton loves guitar music, obviously, and he'll get a chance to explore his passion further during the 'Guitar Circus' tour he has planned for 2013. Billboard reports that the musician will welcome several guitar greats, including the legendary B.B. King, during the summer run.

King was the first confirmed participant for the trek, prompting Frampton to declare, "I'm so honored. I can't wait to speak to him and thank him." The blues great will reportedly join the tour for three weeks in August, and we really hope he straps on the talk box.

According to Frampton, the idea for the trek is to have it run throughout the summer with special guests signing on to play a select amount of dates. He adds that his repertoire is undecided at this point and may vary depending on who joins the tour at specific junctures. More names will be revealed for the trek as it approaches next year.

The 'Guitar Circus' isn't the only thing that Frampton has in the works. He'll perform a handful of shows with a Cincinnati ballet troupe in April, and he recently revealed that there may be some Humble Pie reissues arriving in 2013 as well.

The singer-guitarist has also been nominated in our 2012 Ultimate Classic Rock Awards for his appearance in a Buick Verano commercial. The promo is currently up for 2012's Best Commercial honor. You can see the spot, as well as all of the other nominated commercials, and place your vote here.
