Paulina Porizkova in ‘Drive’ by the Cars

Czech-American model Paulina Porizkova came to fame in the '80s, appearing in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue several times. But she attracted a whole new audience while appearing in the video for the Cars' 1984 single, 'Drive,' as an emotionally distraught woman.

She not only caught the eye of many Cars fans, but also that of lead singer Ric Ocasek, who wed the actress/model in 1989. Porizkova's acting career didn't stop there as she starred opposite Tom Selleck in the 1989 film 'Her Alibi.' She's also found other creative outlets, authoring books, blogging for the Huffington Post, and appearing on TV's 'America's Next Top Model' and 'Dancing With the Stars.'
