Is Paul McCartney going for the gold? First rumors that Led Zeppelin would reunited for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London were shot down, then reports that Pink Floyd would get back together to play the games seemed to go nowhere. Now Paul McCartney is hinting that a special performance to coincide with the Olympics may be in his future, although right now details of the possible gig are few and far between.

"I am seeing [an Olympics organizer] because there is something they want me to do," Paul revealed during a recent press conference promoting his next album, 'Kisses On the Bottom.' "I might be doing something in the Olympics. I won't know until then."

Whether Paul could be performing at the opening ceremonies, rocking the closing ceremonies, carrying the Olympic torch or running an anchor leg for the men's 4 × 100 meters relay we don't know, but it does sound as if the former Beatle could very well be taking part somehow.

In the meantime, 'Kisses On the Bottom' is due to drop Feb. 7.
