Ozzy Responds to Bill Ward: ‘What the F— Are You On About?’

Ozzy Osbourne has responded to Bill Ward's open letter to him in the exact same way the drummer blasted him earlier this week: on Facebook.

Ward initially called out his estranged Black Sabbath bandmates, but especially Osbourne, in a Facebook post that claimed that the "rhetoric above all has brought me the most discord.” This was a belated reply to Osbourne's claims last year that Ward was unfit to drum on the band's comeback album, 13, and tour with the group.

Osbourne's response begins with the singer stating that he "never wanted to discuss this in a public forum but Bill's statements left me no option but to respond honestly."

He then launches into a lengthy post that launches with "Wow Bill. What the f--- are you on about? I cannot apologize for comments or opinions I may have made about you in the press during Sabbath’s '13' album and tour -- physically, you knew you were f---ed."

After some more words -- including a scolding "stop playing the victim and be honest with yourself and our fans" -- Osbourne pleads with his old bandmate, "Bill, we go back a long way, let’s stop this now before it gets out of hand."

Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler reunited last year for an album and world tour without Ward. They've since hinted that one more album and a final album may be on the way.

Earlier this week, Ward said he “will not participate in any musical undertakings until a righting of the wrongs spoken against me has been achieved.” He also demanded a “signable” contract, which he says prevented him from participating in the reunion in the first place.
