Ozzy Osbourne to Guest and Perform on ‘The Talk After Dark’
When you're trying to book talent for a special late-night edition of your daytime talk show, it helps if you're married to one of the world's biggest rock stars.
Just ask Sharon Osbourne, who didn't need to look any further than the other side of the bed when lining up guests for 'The Talk After Dark,' which sends Sharon and her co-hosts on 'The Talk' to the other side of the programming dial during the week of Jan. 12-16. The show serves as a temporary replacement for 'The Late Late Show,' which is in flux during the lull between former host Craig Ferguson's exit and successor James Corden's debut, but producers are making the most of the opportunity, booking an array of celebrities that includes Ozzy Osbourne.
Ozzy is slated to guest on the show's Jan. 12 debut episode, sitting for an interview segment as well as providing the evening's musical entertainment. During the rest of the week, which includes appearances by Seth Green, 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' star Melissa Fumero, Nick Cannon and Kristin Chenoweth, the house band will be anchored by singer-songwriter Linda Perry.
Osbourne's 'Talk After Dark' appearance kicks off a busy year that will see him helping prep a new album from Black Sabbath as well as headlining the 2015 Ozzfiesta in May, set to take place at the Hard Rock Hotel in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Guests for the event include Zakk Wylde, who's on board for an acoustic set as well as a full band performance will Black Label Society; you can find more information, including ticket prices, at the Ozzfiesta site.
Wylde, meanwhile, recently fronted a band whose lineup included Ozzy bassist Blasko and Cult drummer John Tempesta; calling themselves Zakk Sabbath, they delivered a set of -- you guessed it -- Black Sabbath covers while opening up for Royal Machines (who had their own Ozzy moment) on Dec. 20.
