Ozzy Osbourne: ‘I Don’t Think I’m a F—ing Sex Addict’

Ozzy Osbourne has copped to struggles with sobriety more than once over the course of his long career, and when reports surfaced in 2016 that he’d entered therapy for sex addiction after being caught cheating on his wife Sharon, it seemed at least somewhat plausible that he was actually struggling with the affliction. But according to Ozzy, it really isn’t true.

“I’m in a f—ing rock band, aren’t I? There have always been groupies,” Osbourne is quoted as saying by the U.K.’s Times. “I just got caught, didn’t I? It was a bump in the road. I don’t think I’m a f—ing sex addict.”

Countering a representative’s earlier claim that he’d entered “intense therapy” to combat the disease that nearly ruptured his marriage, Osbourne argued that his infidelity had its roots in a far more mundane set of circumstances — basically, he and Sharon grew apart because she worked too much. “In any marriage, you grow apart if you don’t spend enough time together, and that was part of the problem,” added Osbourne. “Sharon is a workaholic, and that’s great. But if she comes home from X Factor and wants to go to bed, what the f— am I supposed to do?”

Osbourne’s comments come several weeks after Sharon went public with the couple’s plans to renew their vows after working their way past Ozzy’s infidelity and managing to reconcile. Chalking their issues up to rock-star shenanigans and simple boredom wouldn’t seem to be in Ozzy’s best interest at this point, but as he told the Times, the couple has managed to weather every storm they’ve faced in the past.

“Not a day goes by when we don’t speak or text,” said Ozzy. “Never. Even when it’s been tough, even when it’s been like f—ing World War Three.”
