The next time you're in your local record store and you see a guy who looks like Nikki Sixx filing the Bon Jovi albums under "EZ Listening," you might want to ask him for his autograph.

That's one of the lessons learned from the above clip, which offers video evidence of the previously reported publicity stunt which found Sixx manning the register at Vintage Vinyl Records in Fords, N.J., in order to help sell Sixx:AM's new 'Modern Vintage' album -- albeit not always successfully, as at least one customer rebuffed his recommendation.

Still, all in all, Sixx seemed to make a pretty good record store employee -- friendly and always ready to offer just enough information to walk the line between knowledgeable and know-it-all. If this whole "rock star" thing stops working out for him, he can always step back behind the counter. In the meantime, he'll stay busier than ever over the coming months, as Motley Crue continue their farewell tour and Sixx:AM promote 'Modern Vintage' following the album's Oct. 4 release.

The band's already been busy on the promotional trail for the LP, streaming the new songs 'Gotta Get It Right,' 'Stars' and their cover of the Cars' 'Drive.' 'Modern Vintage' is their first full-length release since 2011's 'This Is Gonna Hurt,' which peaked at No. 10 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart.
