Win a Newsted ‘Heavy Metal Music’ Vinyl Prize Pack

The eponymous band led by former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted has just released their highly anticipated new album, 'Heavy Metal Music.' Ultimate Classic Rock has teamed up with Chophouse Records and our sister sites Loudwire and Noisecreep to give away a prize pack consisting of the album on vinyl, CD and a poster.

Newsted released a four-song EP, 'Metal,' earlier this year. Since then, Staind guitarist Mike Mushok has joined the fold. 'Heavy Metal Music' is their full-length debut and features two songs from 'Metal,' 'Soldierhead' and 'King of the Underdogs.' Other tracks include 'Ampossible' and 'Above All,' for which they have released a lyric video.

The album is a welcome return to form for a beloved rock veteran who has been quiet for too many years. Newsted credits an invitation to perform with Metallica at their 30th anniversary shows with re-igniting his passion for the music. "I discovered something I knew was always there, as playing old school metal is my forte. I came back to that for sure. I re-discovered that part of me.”
