New Music Releases – December 2013

Boston, 'Life Love & Hope'

As is typical this time of year, the December 2013 New Music Releases schedule isn’t exactly packed to the gills. But some of classic rock’s biggest names still have some nice additions for your last-minute holiday shopping list.

Speaking of Christmas miracles, for the first time in a decade Boston have emerged from the studio with a brand new album, ‘Life, Love & Hope.’ The late Brad Delp will make vocal appearances on several tracks. You can check out the first single, ‘Heaven on Earth,’ right here.

There’s also another excellent archival concert performance coming from Neil Young, new box sets from Eric Clapton, John Mellencamp and Yes and a fantastic concert featuring Sammy Hagar, Neal Schon and other great musicians paying tribute to the late Ronnie Montrose.

You will find a complete list of December 2013′s classic-rock releases below. Don’t forget to click on the highlighted album titles to learn more about those selections, and check out our list of 2013’s best rock albums.
