The April 2012 New Music Releases schedule features what's sure to be one of the more curiously titled releases of the year:'Thick as a Brick 2,' by Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson.

A follow-up to the 40-year-old No. 1 seller, 'Brick' runs away with the prize for the longest gestation period between an original album and its sequel, but more interesting is the wording of the artist name.

It's not Jethro Tull, and it's not Ian Anderson. It's Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson. There is a reason for this, of course, and thankfully, it has nothing to do with lawyers and infighting, but rather audiences.

"The audiences that I attract as Ian Anderson have come to listen to the music and have the sensitivity to keep quiet at the appropriate moments," Anderson told us in January. How utterly sensible.

April will also see the release of Dr. John's Dan Auerbach-produced album 'Locked Down,' Bonnie Raitt's first album in seven years, and 'All the Years Combine,' a massive Grateful Dead DVD box set featuring live performances from 1977 to 1991, a couple of which are making their DVD debut.
