The date and place for the yearly festival that is Farm Aid -- headlined and hosted by Neil Young, Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews and John Mellencamp -- has been announced. On Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, the concert will find it's home at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Penn.

Farm Aid, for those who for some bizarre reason aren't aware, is a music festival dedicated to two things: music and homegrown food. It's a concert that pays homage to and raises money for the farmers of America.

Joining the legendary quartet of musicians -- all of whom sit on the board of Farm Aid and are set to perform with Neil Young being the headliner -- are artists such as Tim Reynolds (who, as per usual, will appear alongside Dave Matthews) Jack Johnson, ALO, Pegi Young & The Survivors, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, and many more who have yet to be named. The ticket pre-sale begins on July 10.

The concert comes at an opportune time for Young, who's newest album 'Americana' was released on June 5. A film documenting his last tour, 'Neil Young Journeys,' is also currently playing at theaters across the country.
