Meet Canada's Iron Man, Neil Young. He has all the qualities you'd want in a superhero. First off, he's fearless, leaving famous bands and completely changing his sound seemingly without regard to the career or financial consequences.

Second, he's a natural leader, commanding loyalty and usually standing among the first on the scene when someone (especially farmers) needs help. Here's our favorite story, though -- when Young suffered an brain aneurysm in 2005, he got surgery -- after he finished the album he was working on at the time. Oh, and, he's a friggin' inventor to boot.
