Neal Schon has announced a benefit concert for San Francisco's North Bay Fire Relief set to take place next year.

The show, scheduled for Feb. 9, will include keyboardist and singer Gregg Rolie, Schon's former bandmate in Santana who went on to form Journey with the guitarist. Dead Daisies bassist Marco Mendoza and another past Journey member, Daisies drummer Deen Castronovo, will also be on hand.

Schon shared news of the concert on social media, noting on Facebook that he's "proud to announce today that I’m going to be doing a Benefit for Fire victims in CA. With these great friends. Back to the roots where it all started for myself in SF the beautiful city by the Bay."

He also announced the benefit in a tweet:

Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday at noon PST.

This solo benefit concert follows the recent release of a four-song holiday EP, Ave Maria, which features Schon covering the familiar classical piece that gives the project its title, Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love" and two Journey songs, "Open Arms" and "Faithfully."

Schon helped found Journey in 1972 after he and some of his fellow Santana bandmates split from that San Francisco group. Over the past 45 years, Schon has remained Journey's only original member.

Earlier this year, he and keyboardist Jonathan Cain got into a public spat after Cain, whose wife is a spiritual adviser to Donald Trump, and other Journey members visited the White House without Schon. At the time, Schon argued that the band should not get involved in politics or religion, and hinted that changes may be coming inside the group sometime in the future.
