Motley Crue will headline the last night of the upcoming Sunset Strip Music Festival, at which they will be the 2011 honorees. The event takes place Aug. 18-20 in West Hollywood, Calif.

The Crue will receive the 2011 Elmer Valentine Award as the special honorees of the three-day event. The festival will kick off Aug. 18 with gigs at the Viper Room, the Whiskey A Go-Go and Key Club, while Motley Crue will be on hand that night at the House of Blues to accept their award.

The Crue themselves will headline the outdoor street festival set for Aug. 20. Other acts playing during the three-day celebration include Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger of the Doors (with singer David Brock), Uriah Heep, Buckcherry, Public Enemy, Bush and more.

Motley Crue recently kicked off a North American tour with support acts Poison and the New York dolls. The trek is scheduled to wrap Aug. 17 in Chula Vista, Calif.
