A new trailer for an 8-Bit video game spotlights some of the best-known metal acts of the '80s. "Monsters of Rock," courtesy of Loudwire and Filthy Frackers, combines old-school chip-tune audio and classic video-game imagery with Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Quiet Riot and Twisted Sister. You can watch the trailer for the imaginary game above.

It starts with "Welcome to the Jungle," which finds the Guns N' Roses hit reimagined in the landscapes of Donkey Kong Jr., Jungle Hunt and Contra. "Pour Some Sugar on Me" comes to life through a series of Nintendo characters – including Bowser from Super Mario, the Big Fish from Megaman 2 and Ganon from Link to the Past.

Motley Crue, meanwhile, hit a strip club riding Mario Karts (to the accompaniment of "Girls, Girls, Girls," of course) only to run into a creature from the Angry Video Game Nerd. Jason from the Friday the 13th series then makes an appearance for Quiet Riot's "Bang Your Head," having escaped from a padded cell under the not-so-watchful eye of Dr. Mario.

Then there's "We're Not Gonna Take It," which finds Twisted Sister joined by Dollface and Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal. How long can it be before they're terrorizing someone who looks like Neidermeyer?

This isn't the first piece of throwback fun from Loudwire and Filthy Frackers. They earlier built a fun trailer focusing on the Big 4 of thrash: Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax.
