Mick Jagger will play an international media mogul, reportedly modeled after Rupert Murdoch, in ‘Tabloid,' the new film that is being made through his own company, Jagged Films.

The Guardian has reported that Josh Olson, who wrote ‘A History Of Violence,’ has been hired on to script the film that will find Jagger playing the lead role; a part based on the insanely successful Australian businessman.

This adult film thriller was Jagger’s idea and the storyline will also include a young journalist who gets seduced and sucked into the same dubious morality that Jagger’s character acts out.

No stranger to the big screen, Jagger has other movie productions under his belt, including the 2008 comedy ‘The Women’ and the 2001 wartime drama ‘Enigma.’ Jagger also gets producer credits on the Martin Scorsese directed Rolling Stones documentary ‘Shine A Light,’  which filmed the band's 2006 Beacon Theatre performance during the Big Bang Tour.
