When Maroon 5 needed someone with moves like Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger for their upcoming video “Moves Like Jagger,” it made perfect sense for them to go straight to the source and employ the real thing.

That’s exactly what the popsters did for their upcoming video and single, and the apparently flattered icon did indeed contribute some of his signature moves to the new video in the form of archival clips. (A look-alike also portrays Jagger in the video.)

The ‘Moves Like Jagger’ video also features Christina Aguilera, Maroon 5's frontman Adam Levine’s cohort on ‘The Voice.' If you're curious about all this, there’s a preview clip from the new video, which Levine calls "outrageous and amazing," right at the bottom of this page.

As Popcrush reports, “it’s got the Maroon 5 frontman shirtless, Christina in a hat, and Mick shaking his groove thing like it’s 1978 all over again.”

But there’s also apparently an appropriate amount of continental division, with a British flag provided as a backdrop for the Jagger doppleganger's portions of the video, stars and stripes for the American contingent and plenty of confetti to make it all feel like a party.
